Dr. Rafael J. Convit, MD, FACS, has held staff positions at the Washington Hospital Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, the Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Inc. and as a consultant for the National Rehabilitation Hospital.
His professional memberships include: the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons, Inc. and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Convit is a graduate of George Washington University and completed an internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. He completed his residency at the Washington Hospital Center and a fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center. He is board-certified by the Diplomate of American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Convit was presented with the National Rehabilitation Hospital's Best Clinical Consultant Teacher Award in both 1994 and 1997.
