Since 1978, Mr. Firestone has been a partner of the Secor Group, a private venture-capital firm. He is a member of the Board of Directors and an owner of Security Storage Company of Washington, and also serves on its Executive and Audit Committees. Security Storage is an international moving and storage company with real-estate holdings in the Washington area. Since 1993, Mr. Firestone has been a Director of Allied Capital Corporation, a public specialty finance company. He sits on the Board of Directors for the National Organization on Disability and is the President of the Board of Trustees of the Tudor Place Foundation. He is also a Trustee of The Washington Ballet. He was also a founder and co-chair of the Washington National Cathedral’s 1907 Society. From 1998-2001, Mr. Firestone served as a Director of the Bryn Mawr Bank Corporation, headquartered in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Mr. Firestone graduated with a B.A. from Princeton University and received a Master’s Degree from the Wharton Graduate School of Finance and Commerce. In 1990, he completed graduate courses at the London School of Economics.
