Sarah “Sally” Helen Evans, MD, works in the National Center for Children’s Rehabilitation (NCCR) at MedStar NRH. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. She received her masters at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Evans received her medical training in the Research Enrichment Program for Physiatrists at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her internship in Pediatric Medicine and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver. While in Denver, Dr. Evans served on the Pediatrics Rehabilitation Fellowship at The Children’s Hospital.
In addition to her work at NCCR at NRH, Dr. Evans has been appointed Medical Director of the Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program at HSC Pediatric Center and Chief of Division of PM&R at Children’s National Medical Center, both in Washington, DC.
Dr. Evans is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine. She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
