Rachna Malhotra, DO, has been named an Attending Physiatrist in the Stroke Recovery Program of MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital, managing both inpatient and outpatient service for patients.
Prior to NRH, Dr. Malhotra worked as a research technician for the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University in Durham, NC. She was also a program coordinator for Carr Court Family Resource Center in Chapel Hill, NC.
Dr. Malhotra completed her internship at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital in New York before she joined the Georgetown University/MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital PM&R residency training program. During her residency training, she served as Chief Resident and was honored as “Resident of the Year” in 2008 and 2009.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and furthered her education in post-baccalaureate premedical training in Chapel Hill. Dr. Malhotra received her DO from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island, NY.
Dr. Malhotra is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R).
