The use of NRH’s ZeroG technology has allowed patients with amputations or neurological injuries to safely practice over-ground walking in a well-controlled environment.
The ZeroG provides patients with a dynamic body-weight support system, which allows them to navigate obstacles such as stairs or uneven terrain. As the patient ambulates, the trolley automatically moves forward or back, staying above them so that they feel only a vertical unloading force. This takes pressure off of the patients’ legs and helps them regain strength and stability.
Once rehabilitation has started, patients go through a rehabilitation process which comprises of 6 different levels, each containing a specific goal for the patient to achieve.
