National Athletic Training Month

Stay active and follow these important sports injury-prevention tips from National Rehabilitation Hospital during National Athletic Training month:
  • Always make sure there is an emergency plan in place

  • Drink seven to ten ounces of water or sports drink every ten to twenty minutes during exercise

  • Avoid tobacco, alcohol and other harmful drugs

If you do get sidelined with an injury, be sure to consult with a certified athletic trainer. A certified athletic trainer specializes in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries.
