2009 FedEx Polo Classic to Benefit National Rehabilitation Hospital

Washington, DC – May 7, 2009 – On Saturday, June 13, the FedEx International Polo Classic will be held at Chetwood Park at a private estate in The Plains, Virginia in order to benefit National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Washington, D.C.  There will be a featured Polo match between the U.S. and French teams, with His Excellency, Pierre Vimont, the Ambassador of France, serving as the Honorary Patron.

The “Afternoon in the Country” will feature a tented lunch, Jack Russell terrier races, a horse and hound demonstration, and a champagne toast after the match.  Gina F. Adams, senior vice president of government affairs for FedEx, is the Polo Event Chair and Carole M. Randolph, is the Polo Committee Chair. Tickets are $150 and include a seated lunch and complimentary parking. Tailgating is also available beginning at $25 per car. Reserve your tickets by calling 202-877-1776. National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) is a private, not-for-profit facility located in Northwest Washington, D.C.
