WASHINGTON, DC – June 12, 2012 – MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital’s (MedStar NRH) Arm Amputee Program is hosting a seminar and reception on Saturday, June 16, from 12-3 p.m., at the hospital (102 Irving St., NW, Washington, DC 20010).
The seminar and reception are open to individuals living with arm amputations, their families and rehabilitation professionals. Presentations will showcase some of the latest in prosthetic arm technology, along with groundbreaking engineering research.
Attendees will also be able to:
- Meet fellow amputees
- Learn about the Amputee Coalition PALS Program and the steps to become a peer visitor
- Meet the MedStar NRH Arm Amputee Program team
- Learn about new and exciting upper extremity amputee research
Refreshments and appetizers will be provided during the reception. There is no cost to attend.
