Neuropsychology & Rehabilitation Post Doctoral Fellowship
The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in Washington, D.C. is creating a Post Doctoral Fellowship program in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation. This is a new position and program. The fellowship program is two years long and provides advanced training in neuropsychological assessment, consultation, and treatment of adult patients with a range of neurologic illnesses, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, aneurysms, brain tumors, dementia and other systemic illnesses. Opportunities are provided to receive training with other rehabilitation populations as well. Training opportunities are concentrated on inpatient and outpatient settings, with strongest concentration being on the inpatient brain injury and stroke programs. Diverse didactic experiences will also be offered. NRH has an active and growing research environment, and fellows are encouraged to become involved in research during their tenure.
Applicants must have a doctorate in psychology from an accredited program, and have completed an APA accredited clinical psychology internship. Applicants should also have strong training and clinical experience in neuropsychology during graduate school and internship. The training faculty consists of five neuropsychologists, including one who is board certified (ABPP-CN), as well as four health psychologists.
