PM&R Medical Student Program

The National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) offers an elective rotation for eligible fourth year medical students from medical schools accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) as well as schools with an accreditation status otherwise acceptable to the NRH.

This four-week rotation is designed to include experience with inpatient, consultation, and outpatient services. Medical students work under the direct supervision of the residents and attending staff.

Additional hands-on experience will be provided to the student as he/she participates in patient therapy sessions. Didactic conferences including a core PM&R lecture series, musculoskeletal conference series, electrodiagnostic medicine series, journal club, morbidity and mortality conference, physical diagnosis conference, and grand rounds are also available to the student.
