Dr. Chin-Hua Wang is an acupuncturist at NRH/Regional Rehab. Originally from the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Wang has been an acupuncturist for over 35 years. Dr. Wang received her doctorate of medicine from Shanghai Medical University.
For 18 years, Dr. Wang served as the chief anesthesiologist and visiting surgeon at Shanghai Seamen’s Hospital in Shanghai, China. During this period, she developed her expertise in acupuncture anesthesia. Dr. Wang later became an acupuncture instructor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University. In 1989, Dr. Wang moved to Bethesda, Maryland where she served as the Director of Chinese Section at The Women’s International Public Health Network. She later served as a west-eastern medical specialist at Washington Pain & Rehabilitation and at Neurodiagnostic and Pain Therapy, Inc. In Washington, DC.
In 1994, Dr. Wang began working at NRH with the Pain Management Program in Bethesda. She has been instrumental in the expansion of NRH Regional Rehab’s acupuncture and acupressure services. Dr. Wang specializes in integrating Chinese medical practices with western medicine by providing Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal medical counseling and Qi Gong.
