August 2005 Notes from Jayne and Karen

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES UPDATE

Which Way to the Beach?
We're excited to announce that NRH will have two speakers at the 2005 Ocean City conference. In Monday's first session, Dr. Kathleen Fink will speak on "Evidence Based Medicine" and in the afternoon, Dr. Phillip Appel will participate in a discussion on multi-disciplinary approaches to maximizing recovery and returning to work. You'll also have the opportunity to speak personally with these clinicians at our post-reception !PARTY!  Sunday evening at the Sheraton.

We'll be sending details soon, but if you can't wait, please contact Karen Jones at 202-877-1974 or karen.l.jones@medstar.net  for more information. Expect yummy refreshments along with first rate company!

We will also have the pleasure of introducing you to the newest member of our outpatient PM & R team, Dr. Curtis Whitehair. He returns to NRH on September 12 after spending a year with the Concentra Medical Center, providing physiatry services to injured workers. Dr. Whitehair is no stranger to our system, having completed residencies at both NRH and Georgetown University Hospital. We're very excited to have him back on our team.

Be sure to drop by our booth while in Ocean City!
