PrimusRS
Since Dr. Raymond Curtis developed the original automated hand rehabilitation machine more than twenty years ago,  Baltimore Therapeutic Equipment has been a leader in the field of technology-based solutions for Industrial Rehab.

The Curtis Work Rehab Center, Regional Rehab at Pasadena and Good Samaritan Outpatient Center feature the newest generation of such technology - the PrimusRS - which received FDA approval in 2003 and offers evaluation and treatment for the entire body.

The PrimusRS allows clinicians to:

Chart progress over time to accordingly adjust the treatment plan
Make very calculated decisions on when to progress the injured worker's activity status and provide feedback to the physician on safe activity levels for return to work
Offer very functional treatment parameters
Use eccentric muscle loading for real-world activity simulation
Determine consistency of effort over time
Because the PrimusRS uses significantly less force than currently offered by most isokinetic machines, it is very safe, allowing for less muscle force that results in longer exercise duration and less post-treatment soreness.

From a neurological standpoint, because an injured worker can perform more repetitions, the more opportunity they have for learning how to control their muscular system. This is a critical component in changing work practice patterns and preventing re-injury once they return to normal work activity.

PrimusRS is featured at:

Curtis Work Rehab Center – Contact Donna Keegan at 410-554-2975.
Regional Rehab at Pasadena – Contact Lorie Theisen at 410-590-8750.
Good Samaritan Hospital Outpatient Center –  Contact Jill Anderson at 410-532-4602.
We invite you and your staff to arrange a “Brown Bag” Lunch & Learn featuring the PrimusRS. Find out how this versatile and performance-based technology can benefit your injured workers. If it's good enough for the Baltimore Ravens shouldn't it be good enough for the "industrial athletes" of Maryland?
