Gifts to the NCCR Special Purpose Fund support a wide variety of programs for our youngest patients.
NCCR Patient Care Assistance Fund Sudden disabling conditions can overwhelm the finances of some of our pediatric patients' families, leaving them unable to purchase much needed care-related items. To help meet that need, this fund provides grants to pediatric patients and their low income families who have depleted their private resources and their insurance so that they can purchase equipment such as wheelchairs, prosthetics, lifts, walkers, medications, home care supplies and therapy.
NCCR Therapeutic Recreation Fund Therapeutic Recreation combines sports, games and recreational activities with sound therapeutic practices to create fun and enjoyable rehabilitation sessions for our patients. Our young patients react very positively to this therapy while benefiting cognitively, physically and emotionally. Furthermore, children are introduced to accessible sports which they can continue for years to come through our sports programs. Since Therapeutic Recreation is not covered by insurance or government programs, we rely upon the community to generously support this wonderfully successful program.
NRH Press NRH Press is proud to produce four patient-oriented publications, written by nationally renowned NRH physicians and researchers. The series includes books on managing life after the impact of Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, and Post-Polio Syndrome.
